TIMOTHY M. RAVICH, ESQ.

Timothy M. Ravich is the Founding Partner of Ravich Law Firm, P.A. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated lawyer and one of only thirty-four lawyers in the state recognized as a "Florida Bar Board Certified Aviation Lawyer".
Mr. Ravich is Chair of the Florida Bar Aviation Law Committee and teaches aviation law as an Adjunct Professor of the University of Miami School of Law. He is a regular commentator on local and national radio and television programming covering aviation issues and has served as an "Expert Legal Commentator" for Matthew Bender/LexisNexis in the area of aviation law.
In addition to authoring a course book entitled AVIATION LAW AFTER SEPTEMBER 11TH (VANDEPLAS 2010), Mr. Ravich has spoken and written extensively about aviation and aerospace issues at national and international conferences and for peer-reviewed journals throughout the United States and abroad, including the American Bar Association, Southern Methodist University's Journal of Air Law and Commerce, the North Dakota Law Review, the Florida Bar Journal, the University of Miami Law Review, and the Journal of the Transportation Research Forum.
Mr. Ravich is experienced as first-chair counsel in bench and jury trials in federal and state forums, representing individuals and corporations in the prosecution and defense of civil lawsuits in the areas of aviation, commercial law, and products liability. In 2008-‘09, Mr. Ravich was president and CEO of the Dade County Bar Association ("DCBA"), the largest voluntary bar association in the State of Florida.
Mr. Ravich has been named "Top Up & Comer" and among Florida‘s "Leading Lawyers" and a "Rising Star" by several publications, including Florida’s Legal Elite and Super Lawyers. He also was elected a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honor limited to one percent of all attorneys in the country.
Mr. Ravich is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Business Law Review and tapped as a member of the Iron Arrow Honor Society. He obtained his M.B.A. in Aviation Policy and Planning from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and currently is training to qualify for a private pilot‘s license.
The Workshop participants will receive a free copy of the recently published book "Aviation Law after September 11th".
